Special to the Mirror

MONTROSE–The BEACON Senior Newspaper is having a party and you’re invited! The second annual MontroseDelta BeaconFest Senior Fair will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thursday, September 20 at the Montrose Pavilion, 1800 Pavilion Drive.

This year’s Montrose-Delta BeaconFest features an exciting line up of live enter-tainment, free food, informative seminars, and booths sponsored by over 60 senior related businesses.

“We’re happy to bring back BeaconFest to seniors in the Montrose-Delta area,” BEACON Publisher Kevin VanGundy said. “Over 1,200 people came through last year, making our first Montrose-Delta BeaconFest a huge success. This year’s show will be bigger and better.”

Thousands of dollars worth of door prizes will be given away to those who attend.

Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch? Volunteers of America’s Senior CommUnity Meals will serve a free lunch to those 60 years old and older. (For those under 60, lunch will be a nominal $6.75.) Lunch will be served promptly at noon. BeaconFest is free to attend. For more information, call 970-243-8829.
