MOBILE GROOMING COMPANY DONATES SERVICE TO SHELTER DOGS

Special to the Mirror

REGIONAL–In order for shelter dogs at the Montrose Ani- mal Shelter & Second Chance Humane Society to put their best paw forward, The Mobile Grooming Co. is providing free grooming to them in conjunction with the ASPCA and the American Humane Association drive known as “Adopt A Shelter Dog” Month during Oc- tober.

A groomed dog is a happy dog.

“Even though our amazing local shelters are “No Kill” shelters, millions of pets in the United States are being euthanized every year. We should all do our part to help through adoption. I adopted two dogs from the Montrose Animal Shelter and they are forever loved family members. Donating my grooming skills to help this

cause is one way I can give back to the orphaned dogs in our area,” Amy said.

“The “Mobile Grooming for a Cause” campaign has been launched and coordi- nated by Wag’n Tails Mobile Conversions of Granger, Indiana, the company that manufactures my grooming trailer.

Many of Wag’n Tails 1,700 van owners are participation in Mobile Grooming all across the country.

“With so many of us participating in Mo- bile Grooming for a Cause, we should be able to make a big difference in getting more pets adopted this year”, said Amy.

“My Mobile Grooming Trailer allows me to devote 100 percent of my attention to the dog being groomed and it all takes place right in my client’s driveways.

“They love the convenience of getting their dog groomed at home,” Amy said. “Since The Mobile Grooming Co. is on wheels, it’s just ideal to help out Montrose and Ridgway Shelter Dogs, because I can roll into the shelter and groom their dogs right there in their parking lot,” she added.

“The Mobile Grooming Co.’s trailer is fully self-contained with one tank for fresh water and one for the dirty water to be

collected in. It has soothing music, a bath tub, dryer, grooming table and even a hy- dro massage bathing system. It’s a fully outfitted private grooming spa on wheels”, commented Amy. “I just want to ask anyone interested in adding a dog to their family to please go to the Montrose Animal Shelter or Second Chance Humane Society in Ridgway and adopt one of their adorable dogs.

“They deserve a warm, loving home,” concluded Amy.
