Scarry out as MHS football coach

MONTROSE — Montrose High School head football coach Jim Scarry resigned Tuesday, a spokesperson within the athletic department confirmed.

According to MHS, Scary will remain on staff as an assistant under new head coach Brett Mertens.

Montrose finished 5-5 in Class 4A this season, overall, Scarry was 11-9 after taking over from Todd Casebier.

The Indians did win their final three games of the season.
