Vista Charter School Honored With Flag Presentation

Special to the Mirror

MONTROSE – Don Coram, Colorado State Representative-House District 58, presented Vista Charter School Principal, Beth Sass, with the Colorado flag that was actually flying over the state capitol the day Vista Charter School opened the doors to its new school, August 3, 2012. Representative Coram purchased the flag out of his own personal pocket to honor Vista students and Vista’s new building. Vista Charter School is an alternative school serving a need in our community for those students who might not otherwise earn a high school diploma.

Vista works on building good relationships with students, making sure they leave the program with a career plan, which may include enrolling in an institution for higher education.

Vista Charter School opened its new 17,000 square foot building to students this fall. The new school has been fully funded by a BEST (Building Better Schools Today) grant and matching money from Vista Charter School.
